From the Executive
Director & Founder
As a member of the Bourke
NAIDOC Committee,
Maranguka joined a team
of passionate community
organisations and individuals
to plan and deliver a wide
range of activities across
Bourke. With too many to
cram into one week, Bourke
went above and beyond this
year with events taking place
from July 1st to July 12th.
This year’s NAIDOC theme
was “The Next Generation:
Strength, Vision & Legacy.” It
recognised the important role
of our Elders and highlighted
the future role of our young
people. This theme 昀椀ts well
with Maranguka Ltd and
the Bourke Tribal Council’s
“Growing Our Kids Up Safe,
Smart and Strong” strategy,
which aims to create a bright
future for our young people.
A huge thank you to all that
made 2025 NAIDOC Week
such a success and to all of
you that went to the events
on offer.
