Maranguka Working
Groups
Maranguka has four working groups operating in Bourke that
bring community members and service providers together to
discuss local issues, and to enable the recommendations of the
Bourke Tribal Council. These working groups are Early Childhood
and Parenting, 8-18 Year Olds, Role of Women and Role of Men.
Our staff are currently collaborating with these Working Groups
to plan their activities and meetings moving forward to deliver
the best possible outcomes for our community.
If you would like to join one or more of these groups and have
input into providing the best possible community-driven
solutions to local issues, then please contact Sheena Olsen on:

Bourke 2025

have honest conversations about some of the issues that are not only
affecting our local men, but the community as a whole, with topics
covered including domestic violence and mental health.
The two-day event hosted by BACHS, was sponsored BACHS, Catholic
Care, REDI.E and Maranguka and included presentations by Mitch
Tambo, Gavin Gibbs and Corey Anderson with our own Yellow Belly
band bring the forum to a close.
